Event Update
The in-person 5K on May 17th has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances with the venue.
While we’re disappointed not to gather in person, we’d still love for you to celebrate in your own way and in your own city — just like we did during last year’s virtual 5K! Participants from across California will be joining in this year’s 5K, making it a statewide event! Why is it Important?
By participating, you're not only taking steps for your health — you're walking, running, and moving in partnership with thousands of afterschool champions who believe in access, equity, and opportunity for all young people. Every registration supports Training, Advocacy, and Leadership Development, helping ensure that cost is never a barrier to high-quality learning and growth outside of school hours.

what’s included
Each runner will receive a CalSAC Afterschool Outside headband* and race bib, but the real reward is being part of something bigger — a movement rooted in unity, pride, and purpose.
