CalSAC Trainer Network

Being part of the Trainer Network has opened up the doors to unique opportunities like Science Action Club and being a ToT Lead, allowing me to grow personally and professionally. The Trainer Network has connected me to hundreds of committed and dedicated professionals all over California. I am truly a part of something bigger than myself!
— Enrique Villagrana, Youth Policy Institute, Los Angeles County

CalSAC connects out-of-school time leaders to a vast network of their peers, organizations and resources to help them develop professionally and deepen their impact on the children and communities they serve. When individual providers increase their skills and confidence, it benefits not just the young people they work with, but the strength of the out-of-school time field as a whole.

The Trainer Network has evolved over the years with extensive support from the CA Department of Education and foundation grants. In its history with the program, CalSAC has recruited over 850 trainers who have implemented over 17,000 hours of training. Over the last two years, CalSAC trainers provided over 1,600 hours of school-age training to 16,000 participants!

Become a Trainer: The CalSAC Trainer Network builds the training and facilitation skills of leaders in the field, who in turn provide training to professionals working in a variety of out-of-school time programs across the state.

Meet the Trainers: There are over 250 CalSAC Trainers throughout the state delivering high quality training in the field.
