Welcome to the CalSAC Trainer Network! We’re excited to meet you all at the upcoming Training of Trainers Institute (ToT) and to work with you over the course of your certification process. Please review the information below, which outlines the next steps and forms you need to complete prior to the ToT.

ToT Timeline

STEP 1: Confirm Your Acceptance

Confirm your acceptance and that you would like to move forward with joining the CalSAC Trainer Network by submitting the following items by the listed due dates:

  • Complete the online Trainer Network Enrollment Form - due Friday, January 5th

  • Register for a scheduled orientation webinar (see Step 2 below) - due Friday, January 5th

  • Submit signed Trainer Agreement Form (to Silvestre at svallejo@calsac.org)- due Friday, January 5th

  • Submit payment (by credit card or include invoice details on the Trainer Enrollment Form) - due Friday, January 19th

STEP 2: Attend Orientation Webinar

All Apprentice Trainers are required to attend an orientation webinar prior to the Training of Trainers Institute. If you were unable to attend one of the scheduled webinars, review the Orientation Webinar recording and slide deck by January 12th.

STEP 3: Complete Self-Assessment

Prior to attending the ToT, each participant must complete the online Trainer Self-Assessment tool to reflect on their facilitation experience and set goals related to the CalSAC Trainer Competencies. Take a moment to review the CalSAC Trainer Competencies and complete the online Trainer Self-Assessment tool by Friday, January 5.

Remember to also prepare your 5 Minutes of Fame “how to” activity for Day 2. Review the Orientation Webinar recording and slides for details.

STEP 4: Attend ToT

The ToT will be hosted in Oakland, CA. CalSAC will not provide travel to the training location - participants are responsible for arranging their own travel.
Shared accommodations are included in the enrollment fee for participants traveling from outside the Bay Area. Contact Silvestre at svallejo@calsac.org with any questions about lodging or travel.

Hampton Inn: The hotel valet has a list of CalSAC attendees. Upon arrival, let the valet know you're with the CalSAC team and CalSAC will be covering the cost of your Valet Parking.

    • 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm | CalSAC Trivia Night Mixer

    • 7:30 am - 8:00 am | Breakfast & Hotel Check-Out
