A Extended Care Staff Member is responsible to assist and support the Director in the overall day-to-day operations, general organization, and supervision of our after-school program for students of K-8th grade
Hours are part-time, four days a week, generally from 2:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
On weeks that the students have minimum day dismissals, one or more of the daily shifts may be adjusted to be from 12:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Compensation for this hourly-paid position will be $15.59 - $16 depending on experience of the candidate..
The work schedule will follow the School "Days In Session" Calendar, beginning week of August 19th until June 5th, excluding the holiday weeks for Christmas and Easter.
Successful candidates will be required to submit Livescan Fingerprinting Clearance, complete an online Child Safety course, and present results indicating a negative TB test, per SF Archdiocese Compliance policy.

Job Responsibilities

Be a self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable individual. Maintain the confidentiality of our students and families. Be First Aid and CPR trained and certified (preferred). Have Child Care Program Experience and/or have taken related College Units (preferred).

Supervise, educate, motivate and engage students during free play, sports, arts and crafts, homework and snack. Maintain order and discipline in a positive, safe and healthy environment. Assist in maintaining records, planning and promoting projects and activities and organization and cleaning of equipment and supplies. Communicate effectively with students, families and staff.
