Peninsula & South Bay Afterschool Workforce Initiative

Since the creation of the two basic models, PATHWAYS and Afterschool Corps, CalSAC has developed several more community-based workforce development initiatives that follow one or both of these models. An example of a more recent initiative is the Peninsula & South Bay Afterschool Workforce Initiative which includes both San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. The Peninsula & South Bay Initiative runs from 2007-2010 and will include aspects of both models with San Mateo County following the Afterschool Corps model and Santa Clara County following more of the PATHWAYS model.   This initiative is generously supported by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health
